What makes us different group therapy at Divine Detox facility in Simi Valley

Choosing the right detox center can be a stressful experience. There are a variety of drug detoxes in California and finding the best one can pose some difficulties, especially when you do not know what to look for. Here at Divine Detox, we pride ourselves on being one of the top detoxes in California. Our staff of addiction and medical professionals understand what it is like to struggle with substance abuse issues. We use that expertise to help those who are struggling safely and comfortably detox from all substances, all while in a medically supervised environment

Detoxing from drugs and/or alcohol is one of the most important steps on the road to recovery. Without the help of a medically assisted detox, one will face a variety of physically painful and mentally draining symptoms. These symptoms are extremely unpleasant to experience and often keep those struggling in the deadly addiction cycle. Some detoxes in California do not believe that medications should be administered during the detox process. There are others that will give some comfort medications, but will take the client off them too soon. This will result in a struggling individual to still experience negative symptoms of withdrawals, which can be quite detrimental to their recovery. At Divine Detox, we ensure that our patient’s comfort and safety levels are our top priority.

It is imperative that those who are physically and mentally dependent on mood and mind-altering substances receive the proper medication while in a drug detox program. Not only will these medications make it easier to physically overcome withdrawals, but it will also increase the client’s chance of getting and staying clean. The withdrawals associated with some substances, like alcohol and benzodiazepines, can actually be life-threatening. In instances like this, it is an absolute necessity that the detox center gives the client the medications they need to help ensure their safety. Divine Detox takes all of the necessary steps to ensure high levels of safety and comfortability throughout the detox process.

The Divine Detox Difference

We understand the importance of medically assisted detox and that asking someone to overcome potentially life-threatening withdrawal symptoms can be scary. Our staff of nurses and doctors make sure that every client is receiving the medication they need in order to safely detox them. We also understand that no two people are the same, even if they were using the same substances. Each individual patient can require different care, and sometimes a medication that will help one individual will not help the other. This is why we offer individualized care plans that are built around each client’s specific needs.

Prior to entering our detox center, we will conduct an over the phone assessment to make sure that the potential client is a good candidate for our program. Once our intake specialist has confirmed that Divine Detox will be able to properly help that individual, they will set up an intake plan. When it comes to treating addiction, ensuring a patient’s safety must be done quickly and effectively. Pending bed availability, we are able to admit clients on the same day they call. After all, drug addiction is a matter of life and death and going on a waiting list will only delay recovery. Once a client enters our detox center they will be given a urine analysis. This will help our staff understand exactly how much that person was using, that way the client can be given the proper amount of medication. When these approaches are combined with an intake assessment, it will allow us to give each client the exact care their condition requires.

When in active addiction, sleep, nutrition, and mental health are typically ignored. There is more to a successful detox than just ridding the body of drugs and keeping a client comfortable, proper nutrition and group support are key to maintaining sobriety. Divine Detox offers a variety of foods and snacks throughout the day to fit anyone’s specific taste and diet restrictions. During the first few days of detox, the patient’s appetites are usually still developing. We offer meal replacement shakes and supplements to help those in this situation receive the proper nutrition they need to recover.

Divine Detox is here to help you through the physical and mental withdrawal symptoms while in a safe and comfortable environment. Clients will have access to therapists and clinical staff who are here to help them through this difficult time. Emotions can begin to run rampant during this time and having trained professionals to assist patients is extremely important to the detox process.
